Palm-fit Adjustable Mouse

Monday
Apr 21,2008

Not sure what mouse to choose for your laptop? You might have seen something interesting from what I have already presented, but what you really want is portability at a low cost. OK, here’s something that could work for you.

This palm-fit adjustable optical USB mouse is fairly small at first sight. However, the puny rodent knows a neat treat: it integrates a practical “lengthening” component that allows the mouse to become up to 16 mm (0.63 inches) longer. This ability is supposed to lure the travelers who have previously shied away from travel mice because of their lack of options and diminutive size. Your palm is quite large? No problem, this mouse pimps itself up as to fit any palm size.

Here are some more features:

• Retractable Ratcheting cable, you can adjust the length of cable to fit for specific applications. (max. length: 58cm)
• Precise, Using Optical technology
• Double-Click Button
• Compact and light weight

Wait a second, it’s an USB device! Why make a USB corded mouse when everybody has wireless devices? The retractable USB cord is fine, but going wireless is the current trend. Oh, maybe this is some sort of retro-looking mouse. Hmmm, makes more sense now, and it’s only $22.99 over at USBfever.

Working with a mouse can rapidly wear on you, especially when you get acquainted with the carpal tunnel syndrome. Time to liven up that crowded desk of yours with a special rodent – the Disco Ball Mouse.

I reckon this is a must-have peripheral for the ladies. Lights start to flash as you scroll across spreadsheets, documents or spammy e-mails. Your office or home desk could be easily transformed into a cool light show that grooves to your favorite beats.

The disco ball mouse has been designed to resemble a real disco ball cut into half and is made in bright funky pink. Hidden within the ball mouse are a number of red, blue and yellow lights which flash as you work your way through tons of documents. In addition, you also get a funky mouse mat that looks like a real dance floor.

How exactly do I transform my desk into a dance floor? Place your mouse on the mat provided then plug the mouse into one of your free USB ports on your computer. Once plugged in, the mouse will work like any other and it will also flash like crazy as you move it and scroll or listen to some music.

So what are you waiting for? Get your hands on a disco ball mouse and start the party for only $19.99.

Ever wanted to impress your friends with your tuned car? Or maybe with your computer mouse? Check out this “tuned” genius mouse. Genius has a special treat for y’all tuning lovers – the Navigator 335 Carbon Ruby mouse.

This one features an exclusive eye- catching carbon fiber cover that is scratch-resistant. It’s supposed to be a gaming-grade mouse, but it doesn’t offer too many options in this respect. Sure, it’s got he advanced laser engine that makes this mouse work reliably on most types of surfaces and offers much higher tracking power than regular optical mice, but you only get a maximum 1600dpi resolution, which could prove a bit lacking in precision in some games.

While you are playing games, you can switch the resolution of Navigator 335 to 1600 or 800 dpi with the LED hot key . The mouse doesn’t require any special drovers and it also provides a programmable gaming turbo button. Additional features include full USB2.0 support and the mini design that makes it ideal for notebook users and LAN Party enthusiasts alike.

If you’re looking to impress your friends with a pimped up carbon fiber rodent that knows a thing or two when it comes to games, go with the Navigator 335 Carbon Ruby mouse. You can get it for only $25.97.

Logitech VX Revolution

Computer mice have started to evolve ever since the weird brick-like model appeared in 1964. That one used some sort of wheel-powered mechanism to move the pointer, then came those mice that were endowed with balls. The optical mice quickly made the leap for the laser technology in the last 10 years or so, and this is the current trend everybody seems to embrace. Of course, there some experimental models like MX Air and 3D Navigator from Logitech, but gamers clearly prefer the laser mice. Cordless, wireless, it doesn’t matter. But how about those mice that include the term “revolution” in their commercial denomination. Are these rodents the revolutionary device they allude to?

Take for example the VX Revolution mouse from Logitech. It resembles the MX Revolution , but looks like a cheaper version all the way. In fact the MX Revolution is for desktop use, while the VX is a slightly smaller brother that aims at the notebook users.

The VX Revolution includes some interesting features that are supposed to speed up your workflow. It’s got a Hyper-fast Scrolling feature that lets you fly through long documents with the MicroGear Precision scroll wheel, while the Touch to Search solution gives you a one-click access to your favorite search engine so you can instantly search your computer, network, and across the Web.

The compact design offers a good grip and ergonomics that are based on a more natural position for your hand. Plus you get more shortcut buttons on the mouse and you can forget about the keyboard in some situations.

This is a pretty precise mouse as it integrates an advanced laser engine and it also lets you effortlessly zoom in and out of photos, spreadsheets and documents. It’s a notebook peripheral and it has to be wireless, right? That’s why you get a storable USB micro-receiver included in the package.

Well, we can’t really say that this is the revolution we’ve been waiting for, but the VX Revolution is quite good as is and comes at a decent price of around $46.

Ghost Mouse

Monday
Apr 14,2008

Yo, horror movie fans, check out this spooky mouse. Sure looks like our ol’ chap Ghost Face from the Scream series. Why not get one for this year’s Halloween LAN party? In fact, it won’t help you play better, but it’ll somehow make the other players fear you.

The Ghost Mouse comes straight from an obscure Swiss company called Pat Says Now. The mouse is pretty unconventional-looking with its inverted tear-shape design in a ghostly-white color, complete with black iinocent eyes and a gaping mouth to instill some fear of the dark into your opponents. All cool and smooth, but the design does leave something to be desired – the unconventional way may prove to be non-ergonomic. Hopefully both left- and right-handers will be able to use the Ghost Mouse without picking up some nasty RSI along with a weird ghost spotting sixth sense.

Ergonomics might be a bit lousy with this one, but the uniquely-shaped ghost rodent still features 3 mouse buttons, a scroll wheel, and a decent resolution of 800 dpi. While I can’t guarantee it won’t haunt you at night, I can surely recommend it for its friendly price of $35.98.
