There are many types of <strong>computer mouse</strong> devices and in what follows I am going to provide you some information about them. The <strong>computer mouse</strong> is one of the most important computer accessories because they facilitate the process of using the computer very much. The main difference between the computer mouse devices is the way in which they collect and send the data to the computer in order to make the cursor move. There are four categories of computer mouse devices: mechanical, optical, laser, and trackball.

<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->

All of these categories have the same task but each category has its pros and cons. The mechanical mouse was the original type of computer mouse but since it was problematic it is no longer used. The technology has evolved a lot and because of that they have been discontinued. The method of sending data to the computer was accomplished when a rubber ball underneath the mouse moved. The cursor moved in the same manner as the rubber ball. The problem with these computer mouse devices is the fact that they used to collect lots of dirt which resulted in a decrease of accuracy.

The next types of <strong>computer mouse devices</strong> are the optical ones. They are still used because they are much more accurate than the mechanical computer mouse devices. The optical mouse uses an LED light instead of the rubber ball which was used in the case of the mechanical mouse. Because of this, the <strong>LED mouse</strong> is much more accurate, but the problem is that they can not be used on certain surfaces, and they can be used only on certain computer mouse pads. The next category of computer mouse devices is the laser mouse which are similar to the optical ones, the difference being that the laser mouse uses a laser instead of an LED light for navigation.

Because of this the <strong>laser mouse</strong> is much more accurate than the optical mouse and it has very fast response times. These mouse devices can be used in gaming where an accurate and very responsive mouse is needed. The last category of computer mouse is the trackball. The trackball has been recently introduced and it uses a very innovative concept. The trackball has a big ball on top of the mouse which is used in order to move the cursor. Think of it as a trackpad which you can find on the portable computers only that instead of a flat surface you will have to move a spherical object. The trackball is great because it does not require too much space on the desk, but it can not be used for tasks such as <strong>gaming</strong>, for the obvious reasons. These are the main computer mouse devices.

Computers are useful electronic devices to be used nowadays and they are used by numerous persons and this is why it is also important to be made aware to all of us that it is important to work properly with our computers in order to make them become really useful for us. Their usefulness is related to the way in which we can work with them and also to the way in which they can enable us to be more effective in all the activities in which we might decide to involve their use. In order for them to function properly it is necessary for us to make sure that they include good quality hardware components which might positively influence their performance. The software is also important to be considered in this respect as it also influences their performance and in this way the results that can be obtained by working with them.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
When discussing about the hardware part of the computer and the fact that it widely influences its performance it is important to be mentioned the fact that each of these components have their own important functions to be considered in this respect. The mouse is one of the hardware components connected to our computers and it is very useful for us as we work with it every day and it enables us to work properly with our computers from certain points of view in various situations. One type of computer mouse which might be interesting to be analyzed for those interested in using this type of mouse or in getting better informed about it is represented by the Logitech gaming type of mouse.

One model of Logitech gaming mouse is familiar among users as the Gaming Mouse G500. Some of the most important specifications presented by it and which might be useful to be mentioned for those who might be interested in working with them in the idea of deciding upon their quality and upon the appropriateness of their use in various cases in which they might consider them useful to be used are related to its tracking type of specifications, to its responsiveness and also to its durability and others such important aspects related to them.

In what concerns the tracking characteristics presented by this model of Logitech gaming mouse can be mentioned the fact that its resolution is one of 200-5700 dpi, the fact that it is considered to present an image processing of 12 megapixels per second, the fact that it presents a maximum acceleration of 30G and also the fact that its maximum speed has been considered up to 165 in per second.

These are some of the specifications which together with other ones which might be considered as interesting ones to be analyzed as well might enable the persons analyzing them to decide whether they might enjoy using this model of Logitech gaming mouse or not by analyzing the way in which it might be useful for them to work with in various situations in which they might intend to use it.

Logitech G9 laser gaming mouse strikes you at first sight with its unusual appearance that reminds you of a tank, especially if you look at it from the side. But if you are patient enough to get your hand on it and make a few clicks, you will be amazed and become immediately its number one fan. It certainly is a gaming mouse and you can see it from the first touch. But the first thing you must do after unpacking the mouse from the box is to choose the right grip for you. You know that different people hold the mouse in different ways: some prefer holding it with their whole hand and resting the palm on the end of it and some prefer just to operate it with their fingers, preferring a more gentle grip. Well, Logitech G9 laser gaming mouse has a surprise for all of you: you get the chance to choose a grip from the two available, according to your preference. One of them is wider and with a comfortable rear for those preferring a firm grip with the whole hand and the other is a bit more narrow and perfect for the second category of users.

<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->

The design is not particularly ergonomic, but still it is pretty comfortable to use. The mouse has the regular left and right click buttons, another button right below the left click button that actually has two clicking sides marked with + and – , which is used for adjusting the amazing resolution of 3200 dpi in five steps, decreasing or increasing it. This incredible sensitivity and accuracy result in an instant response of the cursor on the computer screen, which is perfect for computer gamers. Under it you can see the LED showing the chosen resolution step in case you are not sure of it. There are two more buttons on the left side of the mouse that can be operated only by your thumb. Usually they function as back and forth buttons, but you can use the mouse’s software and drivers to program all the buttons as you wish.

I mentioned that Logitech G9 gaming mouse is a laser mouse , so the laser sensor helps by its precision and speed, making the mouse an unbeatable tool in computer games. The scroll wheel is also very important, as it can switch its function from line by line clicking to a hyper fast scrolling, where you can skip tens of pages with a single scroll touch. The Teflon feet help the mouse move smooth and fast on the surface of the mouse pad and on any kind of surface, as laser mice can work properly everywhere.

When it comes to games, this mouse can store up to five profiles in the on-board memory (for example macros, dpi setting , LED color – yes, it’s true, you have the possibility to choose the color of the LEDs).

Another unique option to have is to choose if you want it to be a light or a heavy mouse, so you get a different weight cartridge according to your option.

The bottom line is that this is an amazing gaming mouse that sells for an average price of $60-90.

If you don’t know what is World of Warcraft or you are not such a big fan of computer games, do not purchase this item, nor read this article. You will just not understand why so many people want to buy this computer mouse so badly and are willing to give good money on it ($99). If you want a regular simple computer mouse, look further because you don’t need 15 buttons to your regular computer mouse just for surfing the internet or other similar things. As its name suggests it from the very beginning, this mouse is designed especially for the game World of Warcraft. You need so many functions for this game that it simply is not possible to use only the keyboard and a regular three button mouse for all of them. In fact Blizzard and SteelSeries have decided to collaborate with the sole purpose of creating a mouse dedicated for MMORPGs they called World of Warcraft computer mouse, quite an unusual mouse.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
You might think that it is not the best idea to invent a computer mouse for a limited niche of people, just for the gamers playing WOW. Well, think again! There are over 11 million people playing WOW all over the world on a regular basis. And the gamers are usually addicted to a game they like most, so it is most likely that at least half of them want to purchase it and to have the whole set at home (Steelseries also released the special WOW keyboard and mouse pad).

Even before opening the box where the mouse is wrapped, you feel like you have already entered the world of Warcraft. The box is designed like a treasure chest, with the mouse in the middle, like a real treasure. Also the box is painted in the colours of the game, easy to recognize for the fans.

You need appropriate software to make the mouse work and I recommend to you to download the latest version directly from the web site www.steelseries.com, not from the CD delivered together with the box, as it may not be the latest version. The software is very easy to install and the mouse is recognized immediately by the computer. The first impression is that the mouse is already part of the game, with its metallic look and the light coming from underneath. Speaking of which, this is a feature I have not met in any other computer mouse so far – you can choose the colour of the light that surrounds your WoW computer mouse.

It seems to be a little bigger than the usual computer mice and has a rather unique design, with two side-rests on each side of the mouse. They look like fish fins and I don’t really understand why it had to be two of them. First I thought they were the thumb rest and the mouse for ambidextrous people, but it is made only for right handed people. I think it is meant for the stability of the mouse which is indeed quite impressive. The little Teflon feet of the mouse make it move smoothly on the mouse pad or desk. You can immediately see that this mouse is intended for gamers: it moves very fast and smooth at the same time, it is very accurate and precise and has 15 buttons. Each of the buttons comes with a default setting , having the functions of the buttons adjusted for the game of Warcraft. You can change these settings if you want to and you can decide what functions you consider appropriate for each of the buttons. You also can change the accuracy of you mouse within the range 800-3200 dpi. The scroll is used to zoom in and out, of course, and there are no more than five buttons that you can operate with your thumb.

The mouse connects to the computer through a USB port and is compatible only with Windows. Too bad it does not have a version that is compatible with Mac OX, too.
WoW computer mouse proved to be a real gaming mouse because once you start playing WoW you see the utility of so many buttons as each of them can be used to perform a certain operation in the game: auto target, dismount, target self, toggle bags – you understand what I’m talking about. But just because it has so many buttons and functions it can take you quite some time to get used to it and remember all the functions of all the buttons and succeed to use them properly. This would be the only inconvenient, but any way it is a very good mouse but only when used for this game. If you use it for other purposes you will notice that it could be a little weird, especially when you press one of the many buttons by mistake. In conclusion, this is the perfect gift for a person who loves World of Warcraft and would know how to appreciate it.

This mouse has also other specific features like: you can reset the 15 buttons with over 130 preset game commands, you can create custom macros, you can develop up to ten profiles and you can choose a unique illumination scheme, you can choose from 16 million colours with four levels of intensity and pulsation of the light that comes from beneath the mouse for every profile.

The bottom line is that you will really like this mouse if you are a fervent gamer. The design is impressive as the mouse looks like a real war machine, all shiny and metallic, illuminated. Even the cord is special, covered in a kind of fabric so that it prevents accidental coiling or slipping. Too bad there is no wireless version of this mouse. I wish there were, as I prefer wireless computer mice. The shape is ergonomic and you even have a side-rest for the thumb. Again I wish they had a version for the left handed persons. It is covered with a smooth cool material and feels comfortable and reassuring in your hand.
When I first saw this computer mouse I felt nostalgic because it reminded me of the times when all teenagers and young people were Star Wars fans and they were all dressed like their favourite characters at parties and we all had the walls of our rooms decorated with pictures from the movies. Now it’s the same, except the fact that now they love a computer game (which in my opinion is as cool as Star Wars series was for my generation). So all generations have their own heroes and preferences.

I guess professional gamers know which mouse is best suited for competitive use. The usual suspects come from Logitech and Razer, which are, no doubt about it, renowned manufacturers. But there are some obscure brand names like Ideazon, not really known world wide, which provide good, if not some of the best gaming mice around. However, most of the times gamers will continue to stick to their favorite brands, even though obscure competition might have better mice in stock. That’s the case of Wolf King. I just heard of this manufacturer, but it looks like they have a pretty solid gaming mouse that has been weakly promoted.

The Wolf King Trooper Laser Gaming features a 2200DPI Ultra High Resolution Laser Engine that allows you to perform all sorts of lightning-fast maneuvers. This mouse provides all the now standard features that a respectable gaming mouse should include. Thus, you get driverless on the fly sensitivity adjustment selectable between 2200, 1600, and 800DPI. This allows you to easily switch from browsing and basic PC functionality to those sniping and precision settings required by FPS and strategy games.

Specifically built for FPS players, Trooper enables you to select your rate of fire at the touch of a button. Single, double, triple, and even four round burst per mouse click, again, with no special driver required.

Here are some more features:

•	High speed USB2.0 connectivity
•	Sleek ergonomic design for comfort and good looks
•	Track wheel LED color indicates fire status
•	LED DPI speed indicator

Reviews over the net claim that this mouse can’t really compare to Razer Lachesis and the Logitech gang, but I reckon it’s still pretty decent one you see it costs only $26.99.

SteelSeries claims that it has put 15 months of extensive research of ergonomics, technology, shape, motion, hand grip and play styles into their Ikari Laser mouse. It seems that SteelSeries has collaborated with professional players in order to come up with better shape, materials and specifications for the Ikari. Players from Team 3D, compLexity, mousesports, SK Gaming, Team NoA and other world-class gaming organizations provided valuable feedback for the Ikari model.

Ikari is practically made by gamers for gamers, featuring programmable macros for RTS and MMO games and a high precision sensor, especially suitable for FPS gamers. Ikari is also a completely driverless solution, which enables the mouse to remember settings and macros when plugged into tournament computers – without installing any drivers or software.

Here are some more specs:

- 40.000 samples per second (SPS) for unbeatable tracking
- 1 to 3.200 DPI (changeable in increments of 1)
- Built in LCD display (on the underside) to help set CPI values on-the-fly
- Chassis material and shape best suited for professional gaming

SteelSeries recommends a £60 price for the laser model.

I’m sure you’ve heard of Jonathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, the world’s top FPS gamer. Some renowned brand names even used his nickname on their best products in order to make them more iconic. Among these, Creative released a special X-Fi sound card and a laser mouse that bare the “Fatal1ty seal of quality.” Let’s see what Fatal1ty 2020 Mouse has to offer.

Besides being tested and approved by “Fatal1ty” himself, the 2020 mouse lets you customize your gaming experience on the fly with the ingenious G-Weight modular weight system. Each top loading, easy-to-access weight module or “caliber” is balanced to provide an optimized center of gravity.

It’s not the most accurate mouse around, but still, you get an HD-Laser engine which enables deadly accuracy in any game, especially in FPS ones. The RapidRes option coupled with the visual resolution scroll wheel takes full advantage of HD-Laser power, offering you instant switching between resolutions (400/800/1600/2000/2400 DPI).

In addition, this mouse comes with SpeedWire function, allowing for high performance gaming wired connections with gold plated USB plug and tangle-proof outer coating. It also incorporates genuine Teflon gaming mouse feet.

Last but not least, here’s what Fatal1ty had to say about the 2020 mouse:”I only put my name on the very best products. If you’re a serious gamer, you just have to get one of these!”

Maybe you weren’t too much impressed with the Reaper mouse. Clearly, that is some sort of entry-level gaming mouse and its price further confirms this statement. But Ideazon also offers a feature-packed mouse that could easily compete with the best laser mice around. Check out the Reaper Edge.

If you’re looking for precision, speed and accuracy, Reaper Edge won’t let you down. It sports a 3200 DPI laser sensor and it’s got a1ms response time thanks to the integrated full USB support. Couple this two features up and you got a mouse capable of 45 inch per second speeds, sustaining 20G acceleration.

Comfort is ensured by a sleek ergonomic design which comes in a snake skin flavor. The overall design reminds me of Logitech’s MX series with a thumb placement at the base. Additionally, you get upper and lower side thumb buttons, a rubberized anti-slip grip and a signature tire-traction rubber scroll wheel.

Taking a look at the customizable functions, we see the Reaper Edge integrating the usual goodies such as illuminated on-the-fly DPI switching which lets you choose between 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, 3200 DPI, 5 fully programmable buttons accompanied by a multi-profile management software and independent X- and Y-axis calibration.

For what it’s worth, the Reaper Edge has a great price. You can get it from Amazon for only $56.65.

I think we need a break from all those portable rodents. Accordingly, I went ahead and dug up an obscure brand name that offers gaming-grade mice, among other things. Here’s the Reaper Gaming Mouse from Ideazon.

I’ve never heard of this brand name up until now, but this mouse seems decent overall. It comes equipped with a 1600 DPI Optical Engin, so it can’t really compete with any Laser-based mice you’ve seen around. Idazon thought of a more striking appearance for this mouse and provided red LEDs with a sleek black on black finish.

The standard stuff includes the driverless On-The-Fly Sensitivity DPI Adjustment, so you can modify it instantaneously inside whatever game you are playing. It also comes with 6 reprogrammable buttons ( 3 side buttons) to enhance your gaming experience, especially the FPS games. The gold plated USB connecter isn’t something you see often with gaming-grade mice. This feature enables maximum conductivity to give you less latency and more frags, according to Ideazon. Hmmm, could a gold plated USB connector really compare to a Ultrapolling 1MHz engine?

Rounding up the features, the Reaper integrates genuine Teflon mouse feet which supply the smoothest possible slashes across surfaces to keep you on a killing spree. Amazon has this one for about $39.14.

Ever wanted to impress your friends with your tuned car? Or maybe with your computer mouse? Check out this “tuned” genius mouse. Genius has a special treat for y’all tuning lovers – the Navigator 335 Carbon Ruby mouse.

This one features an exclusive eye- catching carbon fiber cover that is scratch-resistant. It’s supposed to be a gaming-grade mouse, but it doesn’t offer too many options in this respect. Sure, it’s got he advanced laser engine that makes this mouse work reliably on most types of surfaces and offers much higher tracking power than regular optical mice, but you only get a maximum 1600dpi resolution, which could prove a bit lacking in precision in some games.

While you are playing games, you can switch the resolution of Navigator 335 to 1600 or 800 dpi with the LED hot key . The mouse doesn’t require any special drovers and it also provides a programmable gaming turbo button. Additional features include full USB2.0 support and the mini design that makes it ideal for notebook users and LAN Party enthusiasts alike.

If you’re looking to impress your friends with a pimped up carbon fiber rodent that knows a thing or two when it comes to games, go with the Navigator 335 Carbon Ruby mouse. You can get it for only $25.97.
