Logitech Mx600 Cordless Laser Mouse
Published by MouseArena, on March 9th, 2010, in the categories: Design, Logitech, USB mouse, Wireless Mouse, concept mouse
It is amazing because of its simplicity. When you first look at it , you have the impression that it is minimalistic, but it actually has a lot of buttons that you can use by default or programme them to perform any functions you consider fit. Of course, there are the two traditional left and right click mouse buttons and the scroll wheel between them that also tilts to the sides for a horizontal scrolling.

Then there are the buttons on the left side of the mouse that are being operated by the thumb. The two buttons situated right on the thumb rest are usually used as back and forth buttons. But there are three additional buttons on the left edge of the mouse that, if you use them by default, will zoom in, zoom out and zoom 100%. However, if you do not use the zoom so much, that is if you are not interested in editing photos or something similar, you can always reprogramme them, for example to act like media buttons, performing the play/pause, volume up and volume down functions.
Logitech MX 600 cordless laser mouse is of course cordless. That is why it needs a receiver that connects to the USB or PS2 port of your computer. The wireless communication is made through 2.4 GHz radio frequency signals, the receiver getting the signals instantly due to the flawless responsiveness and state-of -the art laser technology. The laser sensor is very precise and works on all kinds of surfaces, even on glass, which is obviously superior to all the optical computer mice I have ever seen.

Being wireless means that this mouse works on batteries, two AA batteries to more exact. But they can last for a long time as the smooth moves of the mouse reduce friction and also the battery consumption. Because you don't want to be caught in the middle of some important work when the batteries go down, you have an optical warning, that is the green LED situated on top of the mouse blinks when the batteries are going down and you need to change them. This mouse is very useful and handy and also comfortable and offers a high quality for a good price. You can use it for all mousing activities and get the best results. If you are interested, you can get it from any online store for a price between $25-50, depending on the offer. For example you can order one here for $50.
Golf Ball Mouse
Published by Bogdan Alex, on May 27th, 2008, in the categories: Mouse Pad, USB mouse
One of the latest less ergonomic, but funny mice comes in the form of a slightly flattened golf ball complete with a specially designed mouse pad that resembles a golf course. The mouse pad features a flag, a putter and a tiny ball, so now you have to slalom your way on the pad.
Goofing around with such mouse and pad won’t serve in any way if you intend to play FPS and other games requiring precision and lightning-fast response times, though the mouse is optical. This set looks like it would be more appropriate as an ornamental gadget lying around the office desk of a golf veteran. In addition to its special shape, the mouse can also light up in several colors, making for a stroboscope and keeping you awake in those lazy summer office days.
No info on price and availability. The guys over at Gizmag might know something about these aspects.
AOpen MMO-310
Published by Bogdan Alex, on May 15th, 2008, in the categories: USB mouse
The newly designed AOpen MMO-310 mouse is a comfortable digital rodent with an excellent ergonomics design. It appears that the AOpen MMO-310 mouse is suitable only for right-handed users. In order to improve ergonomics, AOpen added a rubber coating to the thumb area of the mouse, further improving the mouse control, as well. This is specifically targeted at gamers, especially when the palm is sweating due to an intense firefight in a FPS game or an MMORPG.
Although it is designed for gamers, the optical technology included with the mouse doesn’t seem too fit for a gaming-grade mouse. Nonetheless, it should be good enough for the majority of people who use computers in office environments.
The AOpen MMO-310 mouse also comes with blue LED lights on its top, adding for an overall fashionable design. AOpen’s new mouse is available in three different colors. Details on pricing and availability are practically non-existent for the moment, but the mouse is expected to hit the Asian market this summer.

Frisby Cool Fan Mouse
Published by Bogdan Alex, on May 5th, 2008, in the categories: USB mouse
This mouse is specifically designed to help alleviate the curse of SPS (Sweaty Palm Syndrome) for gamers and Internet surfers via an ingenious ventilation system. The Cool Fan mouse isn’t quite gamer-oriented as it only sports a 800dpi optical sensor. Firsby provides an ergonomic designed that suites right and left handed users alike. Frisby claims that the operation of the fan is fairly silent and can’t really be heard above the ambient noise of a PC system.
You get the usual three buttons and the vertical scroll wheel, a 5 ft long cable and a black/silber color finish. Moreover, the mouse is plu&play so you won’t be needing any drivers as long as you have a free USB port. After inserting the USB plug, the mouse begins to glow with a blue light due to a special LED installed inside.
Frisby’s Cool Fan Mouse can be found on Amazon for about $30.
