I would like to start this article by making it clear that Logitech 940 mouse is not a computer mouse as you might think, but it is a gamepad, a cordless or corded precision controller for PlayStation 3. PlayStation 3 is a video game console, the third generation of video game consoles released by the Japanese company Sony. The first one appeared as early as 1995 and the latest one in November 2006. This is the clear proof that each generation of children has its own games and toys and preoccupations. I remember when I was a child I used to play hide-and-seek and play with dolls and lots of children still do that, but they now have a whole more opportunities and a much wider variety of toys and games to choose from.

Video games are designed to be liked by children, as they are interactive and the children feel they are really part of the game. And PlayStation in all its three versions offered them exactly what they wanted: nice games with the possibility to be part of the game and to actually shoot in the shooting games or drive the car in the car racing competition games, that is actually move their hands and the game pad as if they had a real steering wheel in their hands. These realistic functions made this console so popular all over the world that it is almost impossible to have a child, especially a boy home and not to have a PlayStation console somewhere in the house.

Fortunately for the millions of users all over the world PlayStation console can also be operated by other gamepads that are produced by different companies, as Sony's products are a bit prohibitive when it comes to price. Well, Logitech has released two similar versions of gamepads designed to be used with PlayStation 3 console, one of them wires and the other wireless. They are both  Logitech model 940, but the only difference are the few numbers at the end, 065 for the wired model and 018 for the wireless one.

The wireless version of this Logitech 940 gamepad offers the user the possibility to play in every corner of the room, even of the house, as it can be operated within a range of 10 metres/30feet distance from the console. It is delivered together with a small receiver that easily plugs into the console and you can already start playing. The 2.4 GHz technology allows a better use, without lags and offers an incredible and realistic experience for whoever uses it. It works with two AA batteries that can last up to 300 hours of continuous activity. This gamepad, too, like many of the wireless computer mice produced by Logitech benefits from a smart technology of saving energy and goes into the sleep mode after five minutes of being unused. It is very similar to the original Sony gamepad anf has the same operating buttons, in order to offer the maximum comfort and control of the user. It has all the necessary control buttons for a fast interactive use of the console, including the thumbsticks (2), action buttons, shoulder buttons, select and start buttons. It is more comfortable and easier to use than the joy stick. Besides, it is purchased together with the user's manual that gives you the necessary instructions about how to use it and all the functions it has. It is also offered one yeard garantee by the producer, Logitech. You can buy it for an average price of $50. The two additional joystick attached to the gamepad make it fun to play and win at the same time.

The corded version of Logitech 940gamepad is very similar to the cordless one, has the same buttons sometimes 10 and sometimes 11 and the same design, with the difference of being attached to the console with a cord. All you have to do is plug the device in the game console and start using the gamepad. It is that easy. The plastic cover and the rubber buttons allow a versatile control and a comfortable grip. It offers a dual analog control with built-in programmable buttons. The two models of corded Logitech gamepads are provided in black and blue colours, also with a guarantee, 1 or two years depending on the provider. The Logitech name and technology combined here to offer the users the best choice of a good and comfortable gamepad for their PlayStation console and at the same time for a fair price of $32.

So why don't you try one of these beauties at home and let us know about their performances?
