Logitech Mouse Thumbwheel

In 2006 this company has released the Logitech mouse thumbwheel, that is Logitech MX Revolution that brought an innovative thumb operated second wheel and the futuristic and ergonomic design. In fact they claimed it was " the most revolutionary mouse" at the time. I don't argue with that but I admit I was impressed. First it's the design: really unusual when you first see it, but if you use this mouse you will see it is really comfortable.
Logitech MX Revolution is revolutionary in aspect and also in the fact that it brings a second scroll wheel that you can operate with your thumb. This wheel, together with other two buttons situated on the elft side of the mouse are all operated by the thumb, making mousing a lot easier and dividing the functions so as not to use only the index finger. This mouse not only looks special, but it really is special. First of all it's the special place designed to hold your thumb (too bad it is only meant for the right handed people). Then there's the rubber cover of mouse margins that allow a firm grip and do not let your hand sweat when using this device.
Another special feature brought by Logitech MX Revolution mouse is the hyper speed of the scroll wheel. This is an inteeligent feature, as the software alloes you to programme the scroll wheel to recognize the documents that are likely to need a hyper scroll and you can "fly" through the pages without having to get your fingers tired from so much scrolling. And the fact that the scroll wheel automatically chooses the mode (click by click or hyper scrolling) is just amazing. One last piece of innovation: the quick intelligent search button that allows you to copy a word or phrase from a written document and then , with a single pressing of the button situated right below the scroll wheel you can perform a quick search on the internet.
All the other features are very good and functional, but you can also find them in other regular wireless computer mouses. It has right and left click buttons, a receiver that is barely the size of a memory stick, a main scroll wheel that you can operate in all directions , two back and forward buttons and finally the very special scroll wheel operated by your thumb. You can program it to function as a normal scroll wheel used for browsing the internet or to zoom in and out. Oh, I almost forgot. The mouse's Teflon feet make it have little adherence to the mousing surface and the laser sensor allows it to operate on any kind of surface, even your jeans if you are too lazy to put it on the desk. A bit pricy, though, but quality has always been a bit more expensive. But on the short - great mouse.
