Portable computers like laptops and notebooks have appeared because many people had to travel and at the same time needed to have access to the documents on their computers and even to work during the long hours of travel , for example during transatlantic flights or when travelling to different parts of the country or of the world. These portable computers are perfect for this purpose, but at the same time they are fragile and can be easily damaged, as they are not unbreakable.



Even so, if they were made of more resistant materials they would also be very heavy, so hard to carry around. So laptop bags and sleeves were invented with the main purpose of protecting them during travel, keeping them out from dust, which is so damaging for computers.
