Ouija Board Mouse Pad

So what could be the perfect gift for a friend of yours who is passionate about spirits and voodoo and all kinds of things connected to it? Well, even if it is not Halloween yet, you could buy her an Ouija board – I am sure she will be delighted to experience the first contact with the dead thanks to you. But there is one major problem: Ouija boards are very hard to find and very expensive. Plus, I have always tried to avoid purchasing strange things because I wanted to have a clear conscience. I don’t really believe in all those mystic things like talking to the dead, but why tempt destiny? The next best thing to the perfect gift is an Ouija board mouse pad. That is right! If you can’t have the original stuff, you will be happy to have less or something similar. I found such a crazy mouse pad on eBay and I actually liked it. It is not very expensive, either, only: $16.95.

Ouija boards used to be the means of contacting the spirits of the dead, or so believed the people who had one. In my opinion they were only helping those who wanted to make money out of peole's suffering and the fact that we never accept that the loved ones are gone for good. But true or not it was used for a long time and even now some people still believe in its power. Usually it was put on a table and all the ones present had to join hands and to put their hands on the lense above the ouija board. The person who invoked the spirit of the dead asked him or her questions and according to the answer of the spirit, the glass lense would move in a certain direction: the words "yes", "no", a letter or a number on the board. The voodoo priestess pretended that the lense would move by itself, but I am not so certain of it. Any way, girls still do this thing with a ouija board on Halloween nights usually just for fun. But the more gothic and dark personalities might like having one of the boards around. Of course I don't think anyone makes ouija boards of wood any more, but you can find some in the form of a computer mouse pad.

You can use this Ouija board mouse pad both as a ouija board and as a mouse pad; it is entirely up to you. But the mouse pad is not as large as a ouija board should be, as it is made especially for computer mouse use. Actually this one is an accurate reproduction of an authentic ouija board discovered by mistake in an abandoned apartment in 1920. I don't make any guarantees that you will actually talk to dead people or communicate with them in any way. But I can assure you that you will find this mouse pad really useful. Apart from its decorative function, it also helps your computer mouse move freely and quickly on the surface of your desk and the design can be considered as a bonus that comes with it. It is like having a very classy crystal ash tray at home even though you don't smoke. You have this unusual computer mouse pad designed as a Ouija board mouse pad even if you don't believe in magic and don't practice these kinds of rituals. You just like its design and symbol and the way it looks on your desk.

I can tell you further details about it : that it is made of synthetic neoprene rubber covered with a sleek synthetic design that is also rubberized in order to let the computer mouse move freely on it and at the same time avoid slipping and staying firm on it. The colours are also similar to those present on authentic ouija boards at the turn of the century: faded yellow, light brown and dark brown. One of them, the one above I guess, has some stylish smoke effect on the edges that can suggest that it is really old and the drawing present there began to fade away. I think having such a mouse pad at home gives you a note of mystery , of mystical and strange person and that is why I think this would be a perfect gift for your friends for Halloween. You can use it all year long, if you like, but it is more appropriate then.

The Sun and the Moon in the Yes and No corners and also the dark shadow of the young woman that appears on the low corners of the ouija board mouse pad seem to take you to a strange and different world, surrounded by mystery and darkness and you can't help feeling a bit strange about this. Hm, you would better lock it up in your desk drawer when you are home alone. Or else ... What? What was that? Who is there???
