Special Computer Mouse Devices

If you're handicapped and you cannot use your hands very well, but you want to work with your computer, you want to write e-mails, read e-mails, be able to use different software programs and so on, in other words if you want to use your computer mouse and your computer keyboard, with the technologies that are available today, you can do this.

The name of the mice that can be used by these persons is "ergonomic". Nevertheless, I think that this term should be used on a larger scale for the people that are not handicapped, as well.

Not only the persons that have several deficiencies should be able to use such products. But also the people that are not handicapped, as I said before. I don't want to name them as "normal people", because many of the people that are handicapped are more normal than the normal people, if you see what I mean. I have searched on Google for computer mice that can be used by the handicapped persons and here is what I have discovered. I have entered the fentek-ind.com site and I have seen several computer mice models. I will start with the 3M Wireless and Wired ergonomic renaissance mouse. And I will continue with the Evoluent Wireless and Wired ergonomic mouse, zero tension ergonomic mouse with scroll wheel, Wireless laser pointer presenter mouse pen USB, no hands mouse, Wireless ergonomic mouse pen USB, Logitech Wireless optical trackman mouse USB or PlayStation 2, Footime foot controlled mouse for PC and Mac, ergonomic and non-ergonomic Wireless mouse products. The price of these mice is usually higher than the price of a regular mouse. For example, the foot mouse costs $149.99.

The computer mice that are created for handicapped persons should be comfortable and easy to use and should have the features of the regular mice improved. The indicator of the pointer speed should use the LED technology, so that if a person has eye problems, to be able to see when the mouse is functioning properly on the mouse pad. These computer mice should be carefully sculpted to create an uncompromised comfort. They should use intuitive drivers. At the same time, they should use more buttons that allow the users to maneuver them more easily. The resolution of these devices should be higher than the resolution of the regular mouse, for example, I can see that the resolution provided by a mouse created for a handicapped person is of 800-2600 dpi. At the same time, these devices should be compatible to most of the operating systems that exist today. Depending on what is the problem of the user, they should come in small sizes and in large sizes.
