The Computer and the Mouse Freeze

Published by MouseArena, on August 10th, 2011, in the categories: computer mouse

I have searched on many sites on Internet about the freezing of a mouse problem and I think that I now possess the answer to this problem. First of all, this can be a hardware problem or a software problem. Usually the first one to generate the second and the second one generates the first, in other words they are one way or another related.

There are situations when you move the mouse on your mousepad and you see that nothing happens on the screen. The cursor of the mouse remains stuck on the screen, even though you move the mouse. There is another problem as well, when you move the mouse and nothing happens, but I do same time you are not capable of running the most elementary commands such as Ctrl-Alt-Del. I have to tell you that this is one of the problems of my laptop.

As much as I would like to solve this problem from the first moment it appears, which is most likely due to the overheating of my processor, I have to press several seconds until the computer takes a decision. These both problems as I presented them, seem related to a software program. First of all the computer freezes and then the mouse does not respond anymore to your commands. If you try to use the keyboard and the arrows to see that you can do something with them or to press the Escape but for example, you can see that they are not working as well. So the input devices do not work, the computer does not work in its entirety and you don't know what to do. Is this a problem with your mouse? Definitely not. In this case is a problem with the whole computer. You probably have many programs in your computer that run at the same time and you have a limited RAM memory. The solution would be to add more memory chips and to not let so many programs running at the same time. A good solution would be to close the Instant Messenger system that runs on your computer, to shut down the programs that allow you to listen to music or to watch videos. If you think that the problem is related to your mouse, who knows maybe you don't have a compatible mouse, maybe you have updated recently the operating system and you have not installed properly again the driver for the mouse and so on. As I said before these are software problems.

As long as you suspect that there is a hardware problem with your mouse, you have to go to a technician, that will solve the problem without creating too much damage to the computer, like you might do. I would recommend you to go to the technician from where you bought of the computer in the first place. There could be a problem with the front side bus, with the circuits that transmit the information to the processor. You want to execute a command, but the processor does not receive the order as you ordered it. This usually happens when the computer is old, something that happens with the old people as well.
