Top Rated Ergonomic Mouse

As technology advances, products become obsolete as soon as you buy them and before you unpack them. In such a fast-paced environment, ranking new-comers is an intricate task best left to the professionals. For instance, it may seem a walk in the park to list the top rated ergonomic mice, yet bear in mind that the specifications required by those who read your list may be well out of your reach.

It might seem to you that complimenting a mouse's shape is enough to get readers to buy it, but you might regret your bold action once a reader asks about the trackball maneuverability or what percentage of users have scientists predicted will get carpel tunnel syndrome. Even the most experienced gadget reviewers have to face the wrath of consumers and hardcore brand fans, as such reviews always contain a massive dose of subjectivity.

For instance, the Perific Wireless Dual Mouse has been subjected to many reviews, most of which compliment its versatility, while on the other hand critique the fact that many of its usages are uncomfortable to different users. One example would be Michael Hoffman, who was pleased with the ability of using this novelty ergonomic mouse on a bumpy desk with little open space. However, while the reviewer states that it is comfortable to hold the mouse on your hand while typing, thanks to its versatile design, he was not able to comfortably use it to navigate on the screen by using his right hand to move the cursor, while the mouse was placed on his left hand.

However, he does say that a different user has found this latter position quite comfortable for a couple of hours, while being virtually unable to use it in its first position. The reviewer also mentions the ability to use the mouse with only the right hand, a position quite useful when reading large documents. The downside of this mode is that it makes using the keyboard difficult.

Another gold star is earned by this product because it is cordless, thus making it the ideal ergonomic mouse for those who are on the move a lot. The reviewer is careful to mention the point made above, that while some position may be uncomfortable of inefficient for himself, other users find them more than acceptable. The conclusion might be that ordering such a product online could bring you a few unpleasant surprises.

Another highly-rated and widely-appreciated mouse is the 3M Ergonomic Optical Mouse, which bears striking similarities to your everyday joysticks. One of the biggest advantages offered by the mouse's designers and makers is that this particular gadget is available in three sizes, making it easy to handle irrespective of the size of your hand. Unfortunately, it seems that it may take you a few days to get used to this ergonomic mouse's unusual designs. The reviewer mentions that pressing button accidentally is quite an often occurrence during the first handlings.

One minor inconvenience of the 3M Ergonomic Optical Mouse is that it is best used on a mouse pad or at least a superior mousing surface. The reviewer found the position in which you use the mouse comfortable even if it is used for a few hours continually - despite its joystick design, your wrist remains virtually still while the movement is controlled by your arm.

The 3M Ergonomic Optical Mouse has two regular buttons that function like a normal mouse's do, but also a third button with the "browse back function", and also another one close to your thumb, which performs the "forward" function. Because of its breakthrough design, the 3M Ergonomic Optical Mouse was dubbed in the beginning "The Renaissance". While the mouse has excellent movement accuracy, users have complained that its reaction is slow when you use the joystick for actions that prize speed above accuracy. Because of its revolutionary design, some users find it difficult to adapt to its mousing style and prefer other, more conventionally-designed mice.

The third top rated ergonomic mouse tested and reviewed by Mikael Hoffman is the Evoluent VerticalMouse 2, whose appearance leads you to believe that this mouse will not only survive more rough handling, but that you will also master it in a very short time. If you're confused about how to hold this mouse, imagine you're shaking someone's hand. The most versatile feature of the Evoluent VerticalMouse 2 is that if you are left handed, there's a special version for you. The fact that the mouse is turned sideways is an immediate comfort to your hand - let's face it, t gets tiring to hold your hand pressed so closely to the desk while your wrist is forced in an uncomfortable and unnatural position.

The mouse was designed mainly for everyday use, yet if one is obstinate enough, they may learn to use it to play certain games, such as Starcraft. However, the reviewer warns against using this particular mouse in games like Quake 3, as it will not perform as you expect it too and will leave you frustrated with the gadget itself.

The Evoluent VerticalMouse 2 has the main buttons and the scroll on its right side. Except for these basic buttons, this particular ergonomic mouse also has 5 other buttons, which you can program to suit your needs. The reviewer himself was comfortable holding the mouse in the handshake position for several hours, yet warns potential customers that they themselves may not get used to this position.

The lesson customers and users have to learn is that gadget reviews are often very subjective, and that you should definitely test out handheld devices you use on an everyday basis before making an important and expensive purchase. That being said, which top rated ergonomic mouse is the one for you?

I don't like this idea. Some mouses are too big! I don't know if it can be handled to easy!
