Even though it seems hard to believe, there are lots of people who never used a computer and a computer mouse and start doing that every day for the first time in their lives. Of course if I ask you now it will seem very easy to you, now that you are an experienced computer user for so many years. But if you could turn back the time, try to remember the first time you put your hand on a computer mouse.

You are incredibly clumsy and don't know what to do and you are afraid to even do something for fear not to damage or break anything. If you were lucky enough to have somebody initiate you in this field, then it was easier for you, but unfortunately not everybody is that lucky. That is why it is a good idea to be able to find some tutorials for computer mouse on the internet so that you can be guided and shown exactly what to do , step by step, when you are using the computer mouse for the first time.

You can find this kind of tutorials for computer mouse, but to find them already means that you can use a computer mouse, so you's better get them for your grandma or friend who is a newby , open the document for them and tell them just to press "enter" once they have read all the instructions on a page. Here are some useful links, all of them presenting step by step tutorials about how to use the mouse for the first time: tutorial no.1, tutorial no.2, tutorial no.3, tutorial no.4. Or maybe it would be a good idea for you to print one of these tutorials, so that the beginner can use them without having to make all kinds of maneuvers on the computer, using only the keyboard.

But let's start with the basics . First of all, make you your computer mouse is connected to your computer, that is plugged into the USB or PS/2 port available. Then make sure the computer is started and running. Place your hand like shown in picture no. 1 , with your index and middle finger on the two buttons of the mouse and the palm resting comfortably on the mouse's body.

Now move the mousearound on the mouse pad. You will see a little arrow appear on the computer screen: that's the cursor. It will move in parallel with your moves, as it reflects the exact movements of the mouse and this way you can place it anywhere you want on the screen or inside a document you want to edit.

Then press the left button of the mouse once - there's the left click. It places the cursor in thexact place you want it to be. Pres the same button twice, without a pause between the clicks - that's the double click and it is used to open documents. If you can't do this when you first try it, just click the document in the folder once and then press:"enter".

Now let's do the same with the right button of the mouse. When you click it, it will open a list with possible commands to choose from - this is the select button. Just browse the list and choose the command you want to give at the moment.

One more step of the tutorial for computer mouse and we're done: open a document or a web page, place the cursor in like I told you and then gently use the index to rotate the scroll wheel between the two mouse buttons. You will see that this way you navigate faster through the document pages. These are the basic functions of a computer mouse. But the best way of learning how to use one is to practice, so you'd better start doing it.
